A retiree from Lake County, Indiana, scooped a $614,844 win on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, in the Hoosier Lottery Cash 5 drawing.
St. John resident, Francis Ignowski and his wife Janice visited the Hoosier Lottery headquarters in Indianapolis last Thursday and picked up their winner's check.
"This feels great!" Ignowski said. He and Janice celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in a few weeks, and had been considering taking special trip, but had been worried the trip may stretch their finances a little too far.
"Now we can go anywhere. We can just pack up and go," Ignowski said.
