Wyoming Lottery Needs More Retailers

Speaking on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, Wyoming Lottery CEO, Jon Clontz said the lottery needs to get more retailers on board before the first Wyoming Lottery tickets go on sale later this year.

Clontz said he wants to about 450 businesses selling tickets before sales open on August 24.

Applications for vendors have been open since May 21, but so far only around 300 retailers have applied to sell tickets.

Although he is happy with the initial response, Clontz has decided to take a more proactive stance in securing suitable lottery ticket vendors.

"We're not just sitting around waiting for people to apply. We're reaching out as well, but there's still plenty of opportunity for people to apply," Clontz said.
