Calgary resident Tania White bought her first Canada Lotto Max tickets in January 2014. She was blessed with a healthy dose of beginner's luck a few weeks later when she scooped a CAD$ 1 million Maxmillions prize on March 7, but the Lotto newbie didn't check her ticket until the end of April.
"I had six or eight tickets to check," White said. "I couldn’t believe it when the clerk told me I had won a million dollars."
