A man from Carp in Ottawa, Canada, was in top form last week when he visited the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto and claimed a CAD$ 1 million prize.
Leon Stiles' big win came courtesy of an "Instant $100 Million$ Fortune" scratch-off ticket, but the 56-year-old auto parts foreman was initially unsure if he really had bagged the big prize.
"I was at a coffee shop when I decided to scratch my ticket," Stiles said. "I wasn’t sure if I won anything so I showed it to my nephew and he said, 'You won a million dollars!'"
Needing still further proof Stiles returned to the store where he'd purchased the ticket and asked the cashier to scan it.
"When it was scanned the machine froze!" Stiles recalled.
The lucky winner has now got his heart set on a new truck and, possibly, a new 4-wheeler to keep it company.
