A US Powerball winner from Virginia was arrested on Saturday and charged with malicious wounding.
During a heated argument, Victoria Lynn Jenkins, 52, pulled a gun from her purse and Sherry Ann Bayne, 43, sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and leg.
Police attended the scene and arrested the gun-toting lottery winner and Bayne was rushed to University of Virginia Medical Center.
Malicious shooting is a Class 3 felony in the state of Virginia and carries a prison term of five to 20 years and a fine of up to $100,000.
Jenkins won her $1 million second tier Powerball prize in November 2012, and stated: "It was just a stroke of luck. I was in the right place at the right time."
