In an announcement made on Tuesday, the California Lottery said the SuperLotto Plus jackpot winner from the Wednesday, September 24, 2014, drawing has stepped forward and claimed her $11 million prize.
California's latest lotto millionaire, Kara Brummett, purchased her winning ticket from Parkwood Gas and Food on West Hammer Lane in Stockton. It was the only ticket to match all five numbers and the Powerball.
Parkwood Gas and Food will receive a $55,000 retailer's bonus for selling the winning ticket.
When lottery officials asked about her plans for the money, Brummett said: "I'm going to Disneyland."
