Who Will Purchase the First Wyoming Lottery Ticket?

Sales of Wyoming Lottery tickets will commence on Sunday, August 24, 2014, but the question is 'who will go down in history as being the first person to purchase a WyoLotto ticket?' That's a question that will be answered on Monday when the lottery announces the winner of its Launch Day Giveaway.

Lottery officials will be joined by Gov. Matt Mead and Secretary of State Max Maxfield when the announcement is made during a live event at the Wyoming Lottery headquarters in Cheyenne.

The competition winner will receive a new Jeep Wrangler and be treated to a special launch day celebration at their chosen lotto retail outlet, on August 24. The celebrations will get into full swing at noon, when the winner buys the first ticket. WyoLotto tickets will then be available from approved retailers across the state.
