According to the China Press the man, known only as Yong, worked on a noodle stall in Bukit Cina, Malacca. On Thursday, August 21, 2014, Yong took a break at 06:00, checked the latest lottery draw results in the paper, and discovered he'd won the second prize.
Yong was so delighted he showed his ticket to a noodle stall customer and exclaimed, "Wow!" He then collapsed.
Yong's employer, Mr. Wong, called an ambulance at once, and attempted to revive him, but when the paramedics arrived on the scene they pronounced him dead.
