Huge Mega Millions Jackpot Scooped in California

One lucky US Mega Millions ticket-holder matched all five of the numbers drawn on Friday, along with the Mega Ball, and secured a $180 million payday. The winner has yet to come forward so they are either unaware they have won or may be taking some time to adjust to the news.

The winning US Mega Millions numbers drawn on Friday, August 22, 2014, were 5, 31, 34, 41, and 74. The Mega Ball was 3.

The winning ticket was purchased from the 7-Eleven store on County Line Road in Calimesa, California. The store will receive a $900,000 payout, before taxes, for selling a winning ticket.

Monira Begum, who co-owns the store with her husband Mohammed, said: "I'm very happy and blessed.  I had a really strong feeling one of my customers was going to win someday."
