Someone in Saskatchewan, Canada, purchased a winning Canada Lotto Max ticket last year and then failed to claim their CAD$ 1 million prize. According to the Saskatchewan Lotteries the ticket—which won a Maxmillions prize in the December 20, 2013, draw—was purchased somewhere in Saskatchewan, but not in Regina or Saskatoon.
The ticket holder has until December 20, 2014, to claim their prize. If they fail to do so the money will be returned to the prize pool and they will lose it forever.
Western Canada Lottery Corporation spokesperson Andrea Matantz said: "If you have any older tickets you haven’t checked yet, this is a great time to do it. We want to see the winner or winners claim a prize whenever that's possible."
