Powerball Win was the Result of a Long-Term Investment

After 26 years of buying lottery tickets on a daily basis, Dave Resnick, 52, could be described as a dedicated player.  All those years of dedication finally paid off last week when Dave won a second tier prize of $1 million in the Wednesday night US Powerball drawing.

Dave bought his winning ticket from the Q Mart on Weeden Creek Road, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, and returned there on Monday to be presented with his prize. After state and federal taxes, his 26-year investment has netted him $673,500.

When asked if he planned to continue playing the lottery Dave said: "Why not? Everybody else does."
