Irish Lottery Player Receives an Early Wedding Present

A lucky Dubliner visited the National Lottery Ireland's head office yesterday afternoon to pick up a €350,000 winner's check and told lottery officials he already had at least one good use for the money.

 "It couldn’t have happened at a better time as I’m getting married next year!" he said.

Like many a lottery winner before him though, the young man admitted he initially misread his ticket.

"When I first checked my ticket I thought it was €35,000 – which would have been great.  But then found out it was €350,000, which is amazing!" he explained.
