Illinois Lotto Winners Plan State-Wide Tour

A retired couple from Tiskilwa, Illinois, claimed a Mammoth $10.25 prize on Friday and told Illinois Lottery officials they plan to use some of the money to fund a trip around the USA.

Les and Beth Saal purchased their winning Quick Pick Illinois Lotto ticket from a store in Jolliet while visiting some friends and their Quick Pick turned into some quick cash when the ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn on Monday, June 28, 2014.

"I always thought I would win big someday, but not this big," Les said and vowed he and Beth would not go out and 'splurge' their winnings on a buying spree. Apart from their USA tour, the couple's other plans include arranging some investments and setting up a college fund for their four grandchildren.

The next Illinois Lotto drawing is on Tuesday, July 22, 2014. The estimated jackpot is $58 million.
