Matthew Schubert, 49, claimed his prize from the lottery's headquarters in Tallahassee and told lottery officials he had no set plans for money, but admitted he was excited by the prospect of being able to buy his daughters a few treats.
He opted to take his winnings as a one-off lump-sum payment of $718,588.
Schubert bought his lucky ticket from a vending machine at his local Publix supermarket. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus for selling a winning ticket.
