US Powerball Jackpot Grows to $257 Million

It's an exciting time for US Powerball players. The jackpot keeps growing ever larger and, after thirteen weeks without a big-money prize-winner, the upcoming drawing on Wednesday, June 11, 2014, has an estimated top prize of $257 million.

Not surprisingly the sizable jackpot has resulted in a growth of interest from Powerball players. There were 28,625,977 tickets sold for Saturday’s Powerballl drawing. Ticket sales haven't been so high since the mammoth $425 million jackpot available for the drawing on February 19, 2014, caused a Powerball ticket buying frenzy.

The US Powerball is a multi-state draw that offers a minimum jackpot of $40 million. Numbers are drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 22:59 (EST).
