A group of 26 current and former employees of the Canada Revenue Agency dropped by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) on Tuesday to claim the CAD$ 32.7 million jackpot prize from the Friday, June 6, 2014, Canada Lotto Max drawing.
Group leader Philippe Bussière said: "It's been a crazy weekend of talking to the group, convincing them this win was not a joke. I heard a lot of joyous screaming on the phone."
Fourteen group members will each receive a CAD$ 1.6 million share of the winnings. The other twelve members shared tickets so they will receive about CAD$ 800,000 each.
Plans for the money include paying off bills and going on vacations, but none of the group intends to take an early retirement.
