Andrew
Noble from Oceanside in Nassau County has been finding New York Lottery scratch
of tickets in his birthday cards for the last eighteen years of his life. The
thirty-six-year-old got an especially large birthday surprise this year when
one of the tickets turned out to be worth $1 million.
The elated
birthday boy couldn't believe the gift from his mother's had turned out to be so
generous so he dashed down to the Rip's Cards & Things store.
"I
didn't believe it was for real until the lottery terminal began its trumpeting
fanfare," Noble admitted.
Noble chose
the annuity option and will receive his prize in 20 annual payments of $33,090, after taxes.
