Things Turn Sour for Sweet Millions

The New York Lottery Sweet Millions game's days are numbered. The game will be scrapped next month and be replaced with the multi-state game Cash 4 Life.

The New York Gaming Commission announced the news on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, stating the Sweet Millions has been underperforming.

Cash 4 Life is being rolled out on June 13. Tickets will cost $2 and the game offers a top prize of $1,000 a day for life.  Drawings will be held on Mondays and Thursdays and the Gaming Commission has estimated the game will generate $8 million to $9 million a year for public education.

The first drawing will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014.
