Powerball Rollover Adds Yet More Money to the Pot

Two lucky ticket holders will each receive $1 million for matching the five winning US Powerball numbers on Saturday, May 24, 2014. To win the $132 million jackpot the Powerball would have been required as well, but neither ticket holder achieved this so yet another Powerball rollover has added a few million to the pot for the next draw.

The winning Powerball numbers were 15, 16, 28, 49, and 55. The Powerball number was 18.

Nineteen tickets matched four numbers and the Powerball, but only four players had added the Power Play option to their ticket. Saturdays Power Play number was 2 so the four Power Play ticket holders will receive checks for $20,000 instead of $10,000.

A further $2,835,777 was awarded in smaller prizes.

The US Powerball is a multi-state draw that offers a minimum jackpot of $40 million. Numbers are drawn on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 22:59 (EST). The next draw is on Wednesday, May 28. The estimated jackpot of $152 million
