The jackpot
prizes of the two big (US) multi-state games, Mega Millions and Powerball, grew
a little bigger at the weekend when nobody managed to match all the right
numbers.
Five Mega
Millions players successfully matched five numbers, but not the Powerball, in
the Friday night Mega Millions draw; and several Powerball players matched five
numbers in Saturday's Powerball drawing, but the big prizes have rolled over to
give lottery-loving punters a chance of an even bigger win later this week.
The next Powerball
draw is on Wednesday, and the estimated jackpot is $215 million; but Mega
Millions hopefuls need only wait until 23:00 (EST) on Tuesday night to find out
if they have picked the right numbers to pick up an (estimated) $94 million jackpot
win.
