Little Stars get Big Lottery Funding

The UK National Lottery's Big Lottery Fund has awarded £9,800 in funding to Horsecross Arts in Perth, Scotland. The funds will be used to develop their Little Stars scheme, designed to help disadvantaged children develop their confidence and communication skills through singing, dancing and drama workshops.

"For a high proportion of the children we are working with this is their first experience of the arts," said Noelle Cobden, Head of Creative Learning.

The grant to Horsecross Arts is just one of 22 Big Lottery grants announced last week. The other 21 organizations also work with young Scots. The combined funding comes to £900,000.
