A California Lottery player turned a losing ticket into a winning ticket when he entered a worthless scratcher into the Lottery's 2nd Chance Program
Alexander Nguyen's losing ticket bagged him a $3.75 million prize last week and lottery officials say the lucky winner is planning to whisk his wife away on vacation so they can take some time to get their "heads straight" and decide on the best use for their lottery windfall.
To win a prize in the 2nd Chance Program players need to register with the California Lottery website and then submit the codes from their losing tickets. Players can submit up to 1,000 codes each month.
