Ticket sales for the fiscal year ending June 30, were almost $569 million. The lottery's previous record of just under $566 million was set in the fiscal year ending 2013.
Speaking on Friday Wisconsin Lottery Director Mike Edmonds said it had been a good year for the state's lottery players, tax payers, and business owners and pointed out the record level of sales generated $160 million in property tax relief for home owners.
"Lottery retailers received over $38 million in commissions. Players took home more than $280 million in prizes during the year, including eight $1 million winners," Edmonds said.
