Dutch Lottery to Sponsor Cycling Squad

The Dutch national lottery has thrown in with the retail company BrandLoyalty and is showing its support for the UCI World Tour cycling squad, Team Belkin, by offering them a sponsorship deal that should help ensure their long-term future.

According to the Dutch newspaper De Telegraf, the lottery has agreed to provide the team with the majority of the funding required for 2015. BrandLoyalty will serve as a secondary sponsor.

The final terms have yet to be agreed, but team manager Richard Plugge sees the deal as a move in the right direction.

"When the contracts have been signed—and it looks very promising—this will be great news for the team and for Dutch cycling," Plugge said.
