A man from of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, fell foul of the law last week when it was discovered he'd altered a scratch- lottery ticket and attempted to claim a large prize.
According to the police report filed on June 19, 2014, Michael Allen Shaske, 45, presented the altered ticket and tried to obtain a $20,000 payout. When he was unable to cash it in Tahlequah Shaske drove to Oklahoma City and tried his luck at the Oklahoma Lottery Commission headquarters.
MSgt. Gary Knight from the Oklahoma City Police Department said: "Well he was doing everything he could to get arrested for this. Clearly it was not a good winning ticket."
