Irish Lotto Jackpot Scooped by players in Wexford and Limerick

In a recent announcement the National Lottery Ireland said one half of Saturday's of €2 million Lotto jackpot was won on a ticket purchased from Pettit’s Supermarket in Gorey, County Wexford.

The other €1 million was secured on a €4 Quick Pick ticket bought from Ryan's Raheen Foodstore in Raheen, County Limerick.

The winning Ireland Lotto numbers on Saturday, June 14, 2014, were 04, 08, 15, 18, 19, and 22. The bonus number was 01.

Ryan's Raheen Foodstore co-owner Keelin Ryan, 22, was ecstatic when the lottery rang and told her the store had sold a winning ticket.

"It's fantastic news," she said. "We're all in a tizzy about it here in the shop."

Keelin has no idea who the lucky winner could be, but she's been rushed off her feet since news of the win was released.

"Everyone is checking their tickets," Keelin said. "We've been especially busy today. It's created a great atmosphere in the community."

The store has been selling tickets since 1988, but this is the first time it has been linked to such a large prize and Keelin is betting on the winner being a local resident.

"I'm hoping whoever bought the ticket will whisk me away on a holiday with them. I've my bags already packed in the office," she said.

The next Ireland Lotto draw is on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. The estimated jackpot is €2 million.
