Florida Mega Money Game to be Replaced by Updated Version Next Week

The Florida Lottery launches a new game next week. "Lucky Money" will replace the lottery's long-running Mega Money game, which ends on July 1, 2014.

The new Lucky Money game will have a starting jackpot of $500,000 and the prize can roll over until it reaches $2 million. Then, just as in the Mega Money game it replaces, if no tickets match the four main numbers and the Lucky Ball the top prize pool will 'roll down' and increase the value of the lower tier prizes.

Lucky Money will offer players improved overall odds of winning a prize, along with a larger second tier prize than the one available in the present Mega Money game.

Lucky Money drawings will take place Tuesday and Friday nights at 23:15 (Eastern Time). Tickets go on sale July 2, and the first drawing will be held July 4.
