County Limerick Lotto Winners Claim their Prize

A family-run lottery syndicate from County Limerick has come forward to claim half of the €2 million jackpot from last Saturday's National Lottery Ireland Lotto drawing. They have opted to remain anonymous, but told lottery staff they were extra pleased about the win because they bought their ticket on Friday 13th.

"We can’t believe our luck," one of the winners said. "Friday 13th is unlucky for some but for us it turned out to be the complete opposite. It’s unreal! From now on, thirteen will be one of our lucky numbers."

The other half of the jackpot was won by a ticket purchased in County Wexford.

Tonight's Irish Lotto drawing has an estimated jackpot of €2.5 million.
