New Zealand Lottery Winner Needed a Hug

Easter Sunday became an emotional time for a New Plymouth man when he checked his ticket and discovered he'd won NZD$ 333,333 playing the New Zealand Lotto.

He said: "I turned to my wife who was sitting opposite me and said 'you'd better come over here and give me a hug'—she was nearly in tears when she found out why."

The lottery has not revealed the man's name, but he and his wife are apparently keen golfers so they plan on using some of their lottery windfall to buy a new electric golf cart.
