Lottery Ticket Purchase Ends in Tears

Fifty-seven-year-old Lita Gannon from Logan County, Illinois, stopped at the Lincoln Ayerco gas station to fill up her tank and decided to buy an Illinois Lottery scratch-off lottery ticket when she paid for her fuel. But her impromptu purchase ended in tears when she discovered she'd won $250,000.

"My husband has been ill and off work," Gannon explained. "This is such great timing. This lottery win will give us some peace of mind. I was thinking I sure could use some help so I bought this ticket. When I saw that I won $250,000, I started to cry right there in the middle of the store."
