Finland's national lottery organizer, Veikkaus, announced the launch of a new game last week.
The new daily game was created by the Swedish lottery supplier Genera Networks. Its officialy called Nabor, but Veikkaus has given the game a new name and Finnish players will know it as Naapurit (The Neighbors).
Players take part in the game by entering their home address. Winners are selected in a raffle and secondary prizes are awarded to the players who live closest to the main winner. Each entry is valid for an entire calendar month of drawings.
Veikkaus chief executive officer Juha Koponen said: "Veikkaus strives to be a leader in the industry and we are excited to be among the first ones to launch a geolottery format."
The annual turnover for the new game is expected to exceed €100 million.
