Illinois Lottery Player's Lucky Escape

An Illinois Lottery player in Chicago got lucky within seconds of deciding to buy her ticket. She didn't win an instant lottery prize, but she did walk out of the store alive.

The incident happened on Friday at the Farmers Food Basket convenience store. The woman was busy purchasing her ticket from a lottery vending machine placed flush against the wall of the store. While she was doing so something distracted her and the woman moved away from the machine. She was barely out of the way when a truck crashed through the wall of the store and rammed the lottery machine into the adjacent wall. Had she not moved when she did the woman would have been crushed.

The woman was taken to St. Bernard Hospital and received treatment for minor injuries.
