EuroMillions Winners Back Campaign for Scottish Independence

Scottish EuroMillions winners Colin and Christine Weir have donated £1 million the Scottish independence campaign, Yes Scotland. This is the second time the Weirs have showed their support for the campaign. They made their first £1 million donation last year.

The Weirs made the news in July 2011 when they won the £161 million EuroMillions jackpot. Since then then the couple has made large donation to a variety of good causes.

The Weirs are Avid supporters of the Scottish National Party, but it is unclear whether they have donated the money directly to Yes Scotland or given it to the SNP to help it fund its own campaign for a Yes vote.
