An
Australian Lottery winner who won a share of a $30 million prize last month
failed to realize she was a winner until a few days ago when a spot of
spring-cleaning unearthed her winning ticket.
The winner
wishes to remain anonymous, but told lottery officials that although she had
was aware a $1.4 million prize remained unclaimed she had no idea she's picked
the winning numbers until she began rifling through some old papers. "I
was cleaning out my room and found the ticket just now," she said.
She now
plans to pay off her mortgage and send her parents on a "well-deserved
holiday".
