A woman
from Sydney got a pleasant surprise when she visited her local newsagent's shop
and had her tickets scanned following the Australian Lotto's Saturday Megadraw.
When she handed over her first ticket she was already aware she'd had a
small win. Then when she handed over the second ticket the newsagent told her
she'd won the Lotto. "Yes, I know; I've won $13.10," she said, but
the newsagent replied, "No, this is what you've won," and pointed to
a first division prize of $1,428,592.63.
The lucky
winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, admits she had to keep pinching herself
to check if she was dreaming. She now plans to invest some of her winnings in a
new house.
