Duening and his friends, Barbara Knauf and Curtis Lienau, won their $9.1 million Megabucks jackpot in November, 2008, and after taxes they each received $1,169,120. Many people would see this as an excuse for an early retirement, but Duening has operated the J Auto Shop for 35 years and is happy with things just the way they are. "I’m here seven days a week," he said. "I love working on cars. I have a lot of older customers; a lot of people who depend on me. And I need to get out of the house."

Set for Life and Still Fixing Cars
For most people a big lottery win is a life-changing experience, but mechanic, Richard Duening, is the exception to the rule. Five years ago, he and two of his friends became Megabucks winners in the Wisconsin Lottery, but Duening loves his job so much he just couldn't quit.
