Cheshire Man Spends £80,000 on Scratchcards

Some people collect stamps, others collect coins; Dave Mannix, from Cheshire (UK) collects National Lottery scratchcards and his unusual hobby has already cost him £80,000.

Dave has an incredible 100,000 scratchcards in his collection, and has examples of nearly every National Lottery scratch card ever produced, but he did not want to damage the cards, so 10,000 of them have never been scratched. Most of the claim dates have long since expired, but some of them could have been big winners. Dave may have failed to scratch his way to a fortune, but he may make some money yet, because he now plans to sell his collection and thinks they may bring £500,000.
